Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia making original, long form animated shows distributed on Youtube. Our channel has over 10 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists that are determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. Our latest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 300 million views on the pilot alone and we have a lot more still to come.

Job Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for an experienced and highly adaptive Creative Marketing Director focusing on directing, supervising and ideating the marketing creative of all our shows and brands. The role will see you reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, showrunners, and executive team to deliver finely crafted marketing campaigns that capture the unique voice of the company, as well as its shows, and to help engage our passionate fanbase. Examples of great campaigns we have achieved in the past are our: Glitch Inn reveal video or our season announcements.

 

This is a position suited for someone with a deep love for animation and “fandom” culture as you become involved in every aspect of our marketing campaigns including: campaign development, ideating social posts, copywriting, and directing marketing media such as teasers, trailers, shorts, and promotional images.

Your duties will include:​

  • Developing and planning marketing campaigns for our shows and merchandise waves based on both data analysis and in-depth knowledge of our audience.

  • Ideating, designing, and directing marketing content (e.g social media posts, videos, teasers, trailers etc) for our shows and merchandise.

  • Crafting an online “voice” for the Glitch Productions brand, as well as that of its franchises through creative copywriting and accompanying media.

  • Collaborating with brand officers and artists to ideate exciting and engaging social media posts.

  • Supervising and providing feedback on submitted marketing material by the marketing team’s artists.

  • Partnering with the Marketing Production Manager to ensure that campaigns remain within budget and scope.

  • Upskilling the marketing team to ensure team success and effectiveness.

  • Reviewing completed campaigns and highlighting weak points and strengths in order to identify possible areas of improvement on future campaigns.

  • Researching new and innovative marketing and brand strategies to be used in future Glitch campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years in a marketing-focused role and/or leadership experience.

  • A proven success record in marketing functions including: building an audience/fanbase through creative posts, copywriting, creating/directing visually striking advertising materials, and improving conversion rates through strong CTAs.

  • Strong understanding of the Glitch brand and that of its series, as well as its audience of Gen Z and Millennials.

  • A keen visual eye and an ability to convey that vision to a team of artists through briefs, mockups, or sketches.

  • Experience using Adobe Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere and Photoshop (or other similar editing software tools).

  • Strong knowledge of, and willingness to try experimental and unconventional approaches to marketing content.

  • Strong communication skills.
