Our channel has over 10 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists that are determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. Our latest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 300 million views on the pilot alone and we have a lot more still to come.

Job Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for a highly capable and diligent Junior Compositing Artist who has an artistic and technical eye for creating attractive visual effects for our 3D animated shows. You will be at the end of our animation pipeline, working closely with our senior compositor and post-production lead to make each shot in the show as beautiful as it can be.

Your duties will include:​

  • Apply knowledge in color & lighting to enhance the visual quality of a show based on directives.

  • Combine multiple render passes to create beauty passes, in addition to day-to-day compositing/rotoprep requirements (basic masking, tracking etc)

  • Provide utility assistance to mid and senior artists in the form of mattes, renders, spritesheets, stock effects etc.

  • Assist the editorial team with NLE requirements.

  • Working with 3D software such as Unreal Engine to incorporate stock elements, create technical art VFX elements and embed UIs into scenes.

  • Assist the producer and marketing team in creating ads, graphics, and thumbnails.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency with Compositing packages (After Effects, Foundry Nuke)

  • Proficiency with the Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere & Photoshop).

  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5

  • Experience with seamlessly compositing stock elements into animation scenes.

  • Experience crafting impressive, stylized real-time VFX assets for characters and/or environments and UI elements.

  • Experience creating static & motion graphics.

  • Self-motivated and the ability to work and solve problems with minimal assistance.

  • Highly organized with the ability to adhere to production schedules.

  • Well-developed communication skills and strong work ethic.

  • Desire to work with a team, share knowledge, and grow together.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Foundry Nuke.

  • Experience with 3D animation.

  • Experience with Maya.

  • Experience with Unreal Engine.

  • Experience with Houdini.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and time management skills.

  • An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.

  • Be extremely organized and have a strong work ethic.

  • Engaging personality and willingness to learn.

  • Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making things.
