Job Information:
Glitch Productions is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Animation Outsourcing Manager to drive the successful integration of external production support within our 2D and 3D animation projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the production team to identify opportunities where outsourcing can enhance project value and efficiency. With a thorough understanding of our internal development processes, you will design streamlined external pipelines that align seamlessly with our in-house workflows.
As Glitch Productions continues to expand, your extensive network of external production partners and your expertise in negotiating pricing, crafting clear briefs, and managing external teams will be essential in delivering high-quality, timely results. Additionally your strong understanding of 2D/3D production pipelines will be crucial for being the first line of defense in troubleshooting and addressing technical issues. You will play a critical role in serving as the primary point of communication between executive producers at Glitch and our external production partners, whilst maintaining our commitment to excellence and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Your duties will include:​

Identify, vet, and manage relationships with external animation and creative vendors, ensuring they align with our studio’s goals and quality expectations.

Coordinate with production teams to understand project requirements and ensure outsourced work is delivered on time, within scope, and at the desired quality level.

Basic troubleshooting of IT and Production issues, creating and managing accounts/licenses.

Manage budgets related to outsourcing, negotiate pricing with vendors, and ensure projects remain cost-effective.

Oversee the delivery of outsourced assets, ensuring they meet technical specifications and creative briefs while tracking revisions, approvals, and final submissions.

Work closely with internal teams (animators, producers, marketing) to ensure smooth communication between external vendors and in-house staff.

Review and assess outsourced work for quality assurance. Provide feedback to vendors and guide them on revisions when necessary while also coordinating with internal teams to secure time for Showrunners to properly review materials.

Handle outsourcing for marketing materials, such as promotional videos, digital assets, and other creative needs on a case by case basis.

Maintain detailed records of outsourcing workflows, vendor agreements, and project progress ensuring regular updates to the production and executive teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

4+ years of experience in production management or outsourcing, preferably in the animation or creative industries.

Strong understanding of the animation production pipeline, including 2D and 3D workflows.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve issues efficiently.

Experience and knowledge of 2D and 3D Softwares:

Bonus skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Animation or similar field.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.

Be extremely organized and have a strong work ethic.

Engaging personality and willingness to learn.

Familiarity with software like Maya and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
