Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia making original, long form animated shows distributed on Youtube. Our channel has over 13 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists that are determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. Our latest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 350 million views on the pilot alone and we have a lot more still to come.

Role Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for an experienced and adaptable Senior 3D Animator to make high quality animations across a range of styles. The role will see you working across our existing shows and animating a variety of teasers, trailers and shorts. These will be shown on our social media channels and GLITCH Productions Youtube channel - such as our Glitch Inn reveal video or our season announcements.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Creating expressive animations in Autodesk Maya, with a strong emphasis on movement, comedy, and an overall “stylised” look.

• Doing basic 3D layout to translate scripts into camera shots and movements.

• Helping to mentor junior animators to upskill their own work and familiarity with the animation pipeline.

• Providing feedback and insight to managers and leads with insight into the requirements of the team, and potential improvements on the pipeline and animation style.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience working in 3D animation.

• A strong background using Autodesk Maya.

• Ability to understand and adapt to a wide range of animation styles, from extremely exaggerated and stylised movement, to realistic and dramatic acting.

• Demonstrated ability to work within a team to solve problems and improve the skill levels of fellow animators.

• A deep commitment to having ongoing, active, and efficient communication both within and outside of your department.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and creatively driven environment, where projects move quickly, and collaboration is key.

• Ability to work independently and quality assure your own work.

• Strong interpersonal, social, and communication skills, with a desire to work closely with other professionals in a team setting.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in Unreal Engine.

• Experience in rigging and/or technical art skills.

• Experience in lighting and/or rendering.
